IMDB or the Internet movie database is a database of information relating to movies, television, actors, actresses,cast crew and fictional characters. IMDb is apparently the world’s most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content. With over a hundred million unique users registering each month and rapid growth globally, IMDB continues the be the world's most popular destination for entertainment information. 

The best place to get information is one of two places " The help menu or the search bar " . The help menu is a great place in any website with such a vast set of information whereas the help menu has a set of frequently asked questions and a list of help sections. General topics include how to register your name or work on the site, your update history, hot to add a new title etc.

Going to search bar is great if you know what you are looking for. For example- We search for Tom Cruise and click on his page and find out that apart from being the brilliant blockbuster actor he is he has also been a producer of 17 titles. If we go further down we can get personal information, trivia, rumors, did you know  project development and a place to contribute to the page .

There are also  photos , posters and videos available of selected sources. We can also contact the agents and get the contact details of celebrities in the imdb professional page which needs to be subscribed and registered for.
 
The only drawback in my opinion are the excessive advertisements, banners and popup displayed on the webpage, which are often the cause for slowdowns.
